BG Global is invested in unlisted equity investment propositions located in South Africa, Australia, United States and Middle-East. It’s unlisted investment portfolio is in mining, investment banking, finance, energy, mining services, technology, agri, manufacturing, and property.

BG Globals’ listed portfolio is in a multi-jurisdiction portfolio of offshore (UK, USA and Asia) of high-yield listed asset classes: listed stocks (technology, health-care, automotive, luxury goods, FMCG, pharmaceuticals, banking), indices (large-cap and mid-cap (S&P 500, Nasdaq, Dow Jones Industrials) and currencies (US Dollar, Pound and Swiss Frank) for high-yield long-term returns for currency exposure and portfolio growth.

BG Global (Proprietary) Limited was established early 2010, as a mineral exploration and power generation firm, with a principle focus on the development of coal, manganese, PGM assets and waste-to- energy solutions within the South African economy. With background roots from the Eastern Cape, BG Global’s portfolio has evolved substantially over the past few years and we have become a well- diversified international investment firm with interests in mining, exploration, mining services, energy, technology, finance, manufacturing, and property.

SOME MORE ON US

In mid 2011, our energy subsidiary, entered into a long term partnership with ZR Energies, a Middle East, Orman-based conglomerate with a specific focus to develop Waste-to-Energy renewable projects in the South African energy sector, which later dissolved due to changes of the South African Integrated Resource plan/IRP2010 and the Department of Energy procurement objectives. The energy division became dormant until late 2017, where the firm refocused its plans and objectives to capture and dominate the green energy market segment. In the same period, the founder of BG Global, together with other international partners, had been conducting extensive technological and patent development for the treatment and agglomeration of “ mine waste/fine materials” into saleable product for consumption by South Africa’s power utility, Eskom, for energy generation through the use of agglomerated fine coal into briquettes and/or pellets. The whole technological advancement was done in conjunction with Sasol Twistdraai Mine in respect of coal and Acerlo Mittal in respect of direct-reduced iron briquettes for steel making as well as beneficiation of iron ore, manganese and Zinc fines.

Between 2018 and 2023, BG Global concluded additional acquisitions in respect of Strata Worldwide, Lance Bloch & Associates, the formation of BG Mines, a mining and trading outfit, which mines, washes and markets product for the domestic and offshore markets. The addition of BG Global Metals (LLC) New York, which was legally formed through the New York State Department along with an office presence located at 13 Columbus Circle, Manhattan, New York, United State of America, as well as another office location on 2029 Century Park East, Los Angeles, California (USA).

From 2024 leading into 2025, BG Global further expanded its industry footprint with some key acquisitions, strengthening its voting rights and acquiring the entire issued share capital/equity in MCS, making MCS a level 1 BBBEE firm. MCS secured major long-term contracts with key mines and took the leadership to become an industry leading mining optimization firm. Apart from this incredible stride, BG Global has also gone on to acquire a significant equity interest in mining firm Isambane Mining and has led the charge in the formation of Mnotho Coal, a company that holds ownership of a key colliery with multiple pits and underground operations, situated in the Witbank region of South Africa. BG Global also strengthened its diversification strategy, by entering into the alternative energy “Pyrolysis” power generation niche,” after partnering with a global leading innovation firm “Technotherm”.

In 2025, BG Global has thus far acquired major complimentary mining service companies, Pioneer Drilling and Blast and USS (Underground Support Solutions) with an objective to expand and diversify its income streams, asset base and market offering to its various clients within the African mining industry.

In the last quarter of 2025, BG Global has thus far, broadened its asset class by expanding its investment efforts onto offshore listed equities, indexes and currencies out of a UK platform through a fund management company based in London.
